The Future of EIP-AGRI Operational Groups: Challenges, Opportunities and Existing Support Services

The online event, “The Future of EIP-AGRI Operational Groups: Challenges, Opportunities and Existing Support Services,” delved into the crucial aspects of forming and managing these collaborative innovation partnerships. This three-hour virtual session aimed to bring together project teams, agricultural stakeholders, Operational Group representatives, experts, and policymakers for a comprehensive discussion on the landscape of OGs.

Attendees explored several vital subjects concerning the establishment and longevity of Operational Groups (OGs). They examined the facilitators and supporting frameworks present throughout various European settings, alongside the obstacles faced by farmers and producers in setting up or managing OGs. Conversations also touched on frequent difficulties in EU-funded initiatives, such as intricate administrative processes and challenges related to cost-effectiveness. The session underscored diverse instruments, assets, and strategic methods to foster the formation of OGs. The organizing projects provided useful content and concrete illustrations, stressing the importance of mutual learning and cross-border teamwork.
